Arab Coalition: Houthis responsible for Turkish ship explosion in Yemen

RIYADH, May 22 (KUNA) -- The official spokesman of the Arab Coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen, Colonel Turki Al-Malki said Tuesday that investigations into a Turkish ship explosion occurring last week had shown the involvement of the Houthi militias operating from Al-Hudaydah port.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), during the regular conference of the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition, Colonel Al-Malki said that Al-Hudaydah port became a point for smuggling ballistic missiles and for hostilities in the Red Sea and the Bab Al-Mandab strait.
He pointed out that targeting the Turkish ship would have great repercussions on the environment as well as the safety of ships in the zone.
According to the ship's crew, a boat had approached the ship within four nautical miles on the radar before disappearing. A missile attack occurred afterwards. (end) ad.lr
