KUWAIT, May 16 (KUNA) -- The National Assembly on Wednesday approved bills stipulating the 2016-2017 final account and the 2018-2019 budget of the Public Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART) and referred them to the Cabinet.
Up to 40 MPs voted in favor of the draft laws and four disapproved of the bills; out of the 44 present members of the Parliament.
According to a report by the parliamentary budgets and final accounts committee on the 2016-2017 fiscal year, PART's actual income reached KD 543 (USD 1,800) and expenditures KD 595,931 (USD 1.970).
As to PART's budget bill for the 2018-2019 fiscal year, proceeds were estimated at KD 130,000 (USD 430,000). Spending was estimated at KD 13.2 million (USD 44 million).
Next parliamentary session will be held on May 28. (end)
