Parliament renews confidence in minister Al-Rashidi

KUWAIT, May 10 (KUNA) -- Minister of Oil and Minister of Electricity and Water Bakheet Al-Rashidi survived a no-confidence vote at the National Assembly on Thursday.
National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, speaking after the verbal voting session, said 34 MPs opposed to the no-confidence vote and 11 approved it out of the attending 45 lawmakers.
Al-Ghanim, during a session for grilling the minister last week, declared that 10 MPs requested a no-confidence vote against him.
The MPs who sought to unseat minister Al-Rashidi were Al-Huamaidi Al-Subaiee, Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Kandari, Faisal Al-Kandari, Salah Khorshid, Hamdan Al-Azmi, Dr. Adel Al-Damkhi, Omar Al-Tabtabaei, Abdulwahab Al-Babtain, Safaa Al-Hashem and Dr. Khalil Abul. (pickup previous) jy.rk
