Reimposing sanctions on Iran eliminates nuclear deal maintaining - official

TEHRAN, May 5 (KUNA) -- Reimposing economic sanctions on Iran will remove "all justifications" for the survival and continuation of the nuclear deal, Chairman of Iranian Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Saturday.
If the United States decides to violate the JCPOA through scrapping the deal, there will be no justification for Iran to tolerate such limits, Iran's news agency "Mehr" quoted Boroujerdi as saying.
He told Majlis (parliament) that Iran should admit the fact that US president Donald Trump is the real game loser of JCPOA.
Iran is patiently waiting for the designated time set by the US, and will take an action upon this move, Boroujerdi said.
Trump is set to make decision by May 12 on whether to extending economic sanctions imposed by the US congress against Iran.
The P5+1 group, which includes the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - France, China, Russia, the UK and the US - and Germany, reached a nuclear agreement with Iran in mid-2015.
The deal has ended a crisis between the two sides lasted for about 12 years.
Under the agreement, sanctions imposed by the European Union and the United States on Iran are lifted in exchange for limitations on Tehran's nuclear program. (end) mw.hm
