Iran denies cooperation with Polisario Front

TEHRAN, May 2 (KUNA) -- Iran on Wednesday denied its cooperation with the Polisario Front, a Western Sahara independence movement.
This came in a press statement issued by Iranian Foreign Ministry's spokesman Bahram Qassemi, describing reports on cooperation between his country and the Polisario Front as "untrue and run counter to the reality".
This came after Morocco had announced on Tuesday that it withdrew its ambassador from Tehran and ordered Iranian ambassador to leave the country immediately.
Morocco accused Iran of supporting the Front and providing it with weapons, holding Tehran responsible for new deterioration of the bilateral relations.
Rabat accused Tehran of "being clearly involved" through support provided by Lebanon's Hezbollah, Iran's ally, to the Front. (end) mw.maa.hm
