Kuwait interested in Iraqi election's success - Amb. Al-Zamanan

BAGHDAD, May 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Iraq Salem Al-Zamanan said on Tuesday that his country is interested on the success of the democratic practice in Iraq, which will enhance the stability and safety of the fellow Arab country and the region.
In a statement to KUNA on the sideline of his meetings with the President of the Iraqi Front for National Dialogue Saleh Al-Mutlq and the Head of the Islamic Supreme Council Hammam Hamoudi, Al-Zamanan stressed Kuwait's supportive role towards Iraq's security and welfare.
Iraqis, on May 12, will vote to choose 329 representatives for parliament.
The Independent High Electoral Commotion (IHEC) confirmed its readiness to oversee the elections especially with the introduction of electronic voting, used for the first time in Iraq. (end) ahh.mah
