Upcoming Chinese delegation's visit to Kuwait 'important' - Amb. Hayat

KUWAIT, April 27 (KUNA) -- The upcoming visit by a senior Chinese delegation to Kuwait next Sunday is important within the plans to boost ties, said a Kuwaiti diplomat Friday.
In a press statement obtained by KUNA, Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Sameeh Johar Hayat said that Kuwait considered the visit very important on both economic and political levels.
"The visit aims to strengthen cooperation in all fields between the two countries and transfer it to the level of strategic partnership", Hayat said.
Both sides will discuss a number of current and important matters in the Middle East that require appropriate solutions, he noted.
A special Representative of the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping will deliver a letter to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the comprehensive strategic dialogue.
Regarding the bilateral relations between Kuwait and China, Ambassador Hayat said, "Kuwait is looking forward to attract more Chinese investments." He expressed the hope that the visit would achieve the desired results to promote Kuwaiti-Chinese relations, expand common interests, and achieve further cooperation. (end) mkh.nhq
