OAPEC Council of Ministers meets in Kuwait next week

KUWAIT, April 26 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries' (OAPEC) Council of Ministers will hold its 100th meeting, on the delegates' level, in Kuwait on Monday.
Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Industry in the UAE Matar Al-Neyadi, the country's representative at OAPEC's Executive Bureau will preside over the session, a statement added.
The UAE is OAPEC's president for 2018.
The meeting agenda comprises a host of topics related to the organization's work and activities, among them endorsing OAPEC's 2017 final accounts (General Secretariat and the Judicial Tribunal), said Secretary General Abbas Ali Al-Naqi.
The gathering will also review the General Secretariat report on the world oil conditions amid the latest developments on the market resulting from a production cut agreement signed between OPEC and non-OPEC producers in December 2016.
Participants will also review arrangements for the 11th Arab Energy Conference, due in Marrakesh, October 1-4, under the theme "Energy and Arab cooperation." In addition, the Council of Ministers will be apprised of a number of reports on climate change and environmental affairs, the events OAPEC organized or took part in, and the studies the General Secretariat conducted during the first quarter of 2018.
OAPEC's Executive Bureau will hold a preparatory meeting in Kuwait, April 28-29, to be chaired by Al-Neyadi. (end) osj.msa
