Kuwait to host GCC-European parliamentary meeting on April 29

KUWAIT, April 26 (KUNA) -- The National Assembly will be hosting on April 29-30 the second committee meeting for the GCC-European parliaments under the auspices of Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, said an announcement Thursday.
In a press statement to Al-Dustor network, parliament secretary MP Dr. Ouda Al-Rouwai'e said that the meeting would touch on exchanging expertize between European and GCC parliaments as well as national and shura councils.
Topics concerning GCC parliament's stance on regional and global issues will also be discussed during the meeting, said the MP who indicated that GCC parliamentarians would discuss with their European Parliament's (EP) counterparts ways to coordinate efforts on issues of mutual interest.
The committee's previous committee was held in Qatar on October 7, 2015. A delegation of GCC lawmakers had also visited the EP headquarters this month. (end) fn.gta
