FIFA18 World Cup finals on PS4, Xbox qualifiers kick off in Jeddah

JEDDAH, April 24 (KUNA) -- The Saudi General Sport Authority (GSA) launched Tuesday the electronic games finals for FIFA 18 Cup World on game consoles Play Station 4 (PS4) and Microsoft (Xbox), organized by Saudi Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports at King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) in Jeddah.
President of the federation, Prince Faisal bin Bandar, said "this event is a platform for the player to shine, it creates jobs for the community, and it shows them that if they work hard there are no limits to what they can accomplish." Sixty-four competitors are fighting for their world cup dream, with competitors came from different regions of the Gulf countries to compete for the chance of winning one seat in the world cup in FIFA 18 PS4.
Last March, around 6,000 citizens and residents of the GCC countries participated in the preliminary qualifiers and only 64 finalists have qualified to compete over a total prize of SR one million (USD 266,667) divided among the top three PS4 players and top three Xbox players along with the chance of playing in the world cup for the winner of each game.
Saudi Arabia has become the place for eSports players in the GCC region to accomplish their global glory dreams.
The games in KAEC, will run from April 24 to 26. (end) nso.mb
