GCC chief says Korean summit chance to resolve nuclear feud

RIYADH, April 24 (KUNA) -- Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Abdullatif Al-Zayani has welcomed a planned April 27 summit between the leaders of North and South Korea, saying it represents a chance to resolve the furore over Pyongyang's nuclear ambitions.
In a statement, Al-Zayani added that the talks could also mark an impetus for a reduction in tensions in the Korean peninsula.
He went on to praise the efforts assumed by South Korea and the United States in attaining the goal and maintaining global security and stability. (end) mdm.sd
