KUWAIT, April 24 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir 56th soccer tournament (2017-2018) will kick off on Wednesday.
It groups 15 clubs. Losers will have no second chance.
Draw has divided the teams into two groups: 1: Kuwait Club, Al-Yarmouk, Al-Sahel, Al-Shabab, Al-Nasr, Al-Tadamon and Al-Fahaheel.
Group 2: Al-Qadsiya, Al-Arabi, Al-Jahraa, Burgan, Al-Salmiya, Kathma, Khaitan and Al-Sulaibikhat.
Tomorrow's matches will pit Yarmouk against Sahel, Al-Qadsiya against al-Arabi and Al-Salmiya against Kathma.
On Thursday, Al-Shabab plays against Al-Nasr, Tadamon with Fahaheel, Al-Jahraa with Burgan and Khaitan with Al-Sulaibikhat.
His Highness the Amir Cup was first launched during the sports season, 1961-1962. Al-Qadsiya has won it 16 times, Al-Arabi 15 and Kuwait 12. (end) fr.rk
