Assailants of Palestinian activist either from Europe or Mideast -- police

KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 (KUNA) -- Malaysian Police Chief Mohammad Fouri Harron said on Monday killers of the Palestinian activist Dr. Fadi Al-Batsh who was shot two days ago in Kuala Lumpur might be either from Europe or the Middle East.
"Police experts collected photos of the suspect from witnesses whom we cannot reveal their identities", Harron said to the press, adding "police will send 14 bullets fired during the attack to lab experts for more analysis".
He noted that the two suspected killers were distinguished with big physique, adding "we are not sure if they have left the country or not yet".
The police chief refused to reveal more details about the case, noting "there is no threat to the victim's family." Haroun predicted that Dr. Al-Batsh's body would be returned to his native homeland, Palestine, through Egypt, tomorrow (Tuesday). His brother has arrived from Germany to handle procedures for the corpse transfer to the Palestinian territories for burial.
The Palestinian activist was killed by masked gunmen on Saturday in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.
The slain Palestinian was a lecturer at the university level in Malaysia and was active in charities for the Palestinian people. (end) aab.nhq
