KUWAIT, April 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's foreign policy is largely based on non-intervention in states' domestic affairs, resolving conflicts and respecting the UN charter, Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah affirmed on Sunday.
These components have earned Kuwait admiration from all states of the globe, paving way for acquiring a permanent seat in the Security Council between 2018-2019, with support from up to 188 states, said Al-Jarallah, in a lecture during the sixth session of Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute.
He praised His Highness the Amir efforts in mapping out the foreign policy, setting its broadlines particularly with respect of cementing the bonds with the other GCC countries.
The deputy minister also lauded His Highness for elevating level of the relations with peace-loving nations, thus drawing states' admiration of the country's transparent and credible foreign policy.
Moreover, His Highness has been playing an instrumental role at the humanitarian level, securing aid for stricken nations, thus earning him the UN designation the "humanitarian leader" as well the title for Kuwait as the "humanitarian center." (end) amh.rk
