Macron: no tolerance towards ballistic missile threats to Saudi Arabia

PARIS, April 10 (KUNA) -- French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday reiterated his country's solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against Yemeni Houthi rebels' ballistic missile attacks.
"We will not tolerate ballistic missiles activities that threaten Saudi Arabia," Macron said in a joint news conference with visiting Saudi Crown Prince and Minister of Defense Mohammad bin Salman. "Yet we are attached to the respect of international law and especially humanitarian law in Yemen," the French leader asserted.
He noted that France backs and exchange information with the Kingdom to face threat of Houthi missiles.
He pointed out that they had agreed on holding an international conference next summer on the situation in Yemen.
The conference would focus on launching initiatives to ease the humanitarian situation in the war-torn country, he said.
For his part, the Saudi Crown Prince stressed that the Saudi-led pro-legitimacy coalition in Yemen is doing its utmost to avoid losses among civilians in Yemen.
But mistakes are inevitable in conflicts, he regretted. (pickup previous) mjz.ibi
