BASRA, April 8 (KUNA) -- Iraqis expressed a strong desire to boost ties with Kuwait during the visit of Kuwaiti media delegation to Basra, which concluded on Thursday, said Kuwait Journalists Association (KJA) Sunday.
During the five-day visit, the Kuwaiti delegation met with members of Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in Basra, who said they have gained great benefit from the cultural and literal books, magazines and other items published by Kuwaiti media during the 1970s and 80s, KJA Trustee Adnan Al-Rashed told KUNA.
He added that Kuwait's Consul General in Basra Ambassador Youssef Al-Sabbagh had been exerting great efforts to bring the two nations closer and boost relations on all levels.
The delegation included Al-Rashed, KUNA Deputy Director General for Editorial Affairs and Editor-in-Chief Saad Al-Ali, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Anbaa Newspaper Youssef Al-Marzouq, Editor-in-Chief of Kuwait Times Abdurrahman Al-Ulayyan, Media Advisor at His Highness the Prime Minister's Diwan Hassan Al-Sayegh and others.
