IJS: Kuwaiti media delegation's visits to Iraq to boost ties

BASRA, April 5 (KUNA) -- The current visit of the Kuwaiti media delegation to Iraq's Basra and Dhi Qar provinces will develop relations, said the Head of the Iraq Journalists' Syndicate (IJS), Moaid AlLami on Thursday.
In statement to KUNA, AlLami said that the visit would hopefully lead to the development of investment and tourism opportunities and boost the media and cultural relations.
The rapprochement between societies will stimulate economic and cultural movement, he said, adding that the Kuwaiti media delegation have more of a clear idea of the stable conditions in both the provinces of Basra and Dhi Qar.
The Kuwaiti media delegation arrived Sunday for talks with local officials and visit archeological sites in the nearby Thi Qar Governorate.
The delegation also includes KUNA Deputy Director General for Editorial Saad Al-Ali, Chief Editor of Al-Anbaa Newspaper Yusu Al-Marzouq, Chief Editor of Kuwait Times Abdulrahman Al-Ulayyan, Media Advisor at His Highness the Prime Minister's Diwan Hassan Al-Sayegh, and others. (end) ahh.ss
