CAIRO, April 4 (KUNA) -- Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi underlined the importance Wednesday on boosting cooperation with the United Kingdom, for the interests of both nations.
In a statement, Egyptian presidential spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radhi said the remarks came during a phone call received by President Al-Sisi from Britain Prime Minister Theresa May following his re-election over the weekend.
The spokesman noted that May congratulated President Al-Sisi on his reelection.
The two also discussed how the two countries can continue to work together to further Egypt's economic and education reforms and support its counter-terrorism efforts.
President Al-Sisi noted the UK's experience and expertise in these areas and the potential benefits to Egypt.
The two looked forward to developing the bilateral relationship in all fields, added the spokesman. (end)
