Kuwait lauds UN efforts to ensure justice in Haiti

NEW YORK, April 3 (KUNA) -- Kuwait has applauded the efforts of the United Nations Mission for Justice Support in Haiti (MINUJUSTH) in strengthening the rule of law and supporting stability and sustainable development in Haiti.
Speaking at a special UN Security Council session on MINUJUSTH, Deputy of Kuwait's Permanent Delegate to the UN Counselor Bader Al-Munayyekh welcomed the sharp decline in registered crimes.
He urged the Haitian authorities to make the best use of the expertise of the UN teams to retain the progress.
Al-Munayyekh expressed support to a proposal to extend the mandate of the MINUJUSTH to complete its program and achieve the aspired goals. (end) asf.ibi
