Saudi Arabia denounces terrorist attacks in France, Afghanistan

RIYADH, March 23 (KUNA) -- The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday condemned the deadly hostage-taking in Trebes city, southern France, and the car bombing near a stadium in Afghanistan.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia rejects of all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism, and supports the efforts of friendly countries to combat terrorism, SPA quoted an official at the ministry as saying.
On behalf of the Kingdom, the source offered condolences to the families of the victims, and the governments and peoples of both friendly countries, wishing those injured to get well soon.
Earlier today, a gunman killed three people and wounded 16 others during a hostage-taking at a supermarket in Trebes, before being shot dead by policemen.
A bomb-laden car went off at the entrance of Lashkar Gah stadium in Afghanistan's southwestern province of Helmand, killing 13 people and injuring dozens of others. (end) mdm.gb
