"Airport Carnival" to boost staff cooperation -- Al-Dosari

KUWAIT, March 22 (KUNA) -- The first "Airport Carnival" which kicked off on Thursday at Kuwait International Airport aims at boosting cooperation among the facility staff and workers, said a senior official.
The carnival, which involves a large number of government and public authorities and institutions, is designed to achieve cohesion and closer cooperation among personnel at facility, said Acting Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Al-Dosari.
Al-Dosari's statement came in a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior following inauguration of the three-day carnival, sponsored by Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Director-General of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation.
Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Shukri Al-Najjar, the acting assistant undersecretary for security affairs at the MoI, lauded the aircraft protection department for "making the initiative to bolster the relations among all sections and institutions" operating at the airport.
The carnival launch ceremony was attended by the assistant undersecretary for operations affairs Maj. Gen. Jamal Al-Sayegh, the assistant undersecretary for checkpoints security Maj. Mansour Al-Awadhi, and other ranking personnel.
The event, in the first day (today), included an aerial show, a military parade, contests, sports and social activities.
Schedule of the second (tomorrow) and third days includes a motorbike race, walkathon, entertainment shows, display of items depicting the Kuwaiti heritage, games and competitions.
The event involves the MoI, the medical emergency department, the fire department, the Environment Public Authority, the Blood Bank, companies, banks and owners of small enterprises. (pickup previous) ays.rk
