Kuwait army chief extols military coop. with Jordan

AMMAN, March 19 (KUNA) -- Visiting Kuwaiti Army Chief of Staff General Mohammad Al-Khodhr Monday lauded the level of military cooperation between the State of Kuwait and Jordan.
Speaking to KUNA following the conclusion of the joint military committee's meeting, Al-Khodhr underlined the significance of promoting bilateral cooperation, saying that it is necessary to draw upon Jordan's military expertise.
The joint military committee mainly aims at consolidating military cooperation between both countries in diverse military activities and programs, including exercises and courses, he elaborated.
During the committee's meeting, a bilateral military cooperation agreement was extended, and ways of developing cooperation and coordination for exchanging military expertise and potential were considered, he added.
He noted that during his ongoing visit to Amman, he had held meetings with Jordanian army generals, mainly on the expertise of the Jordanian army's companies in the production of military supplies and equipment. (end) mjb.mt
