RABAT, March 17 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait has fulfilled in full its quota of the Gulf grant worth USD 1.25 billion to Morocco, Kuwaiti Ambassador in Rabat Abdullatif Al-Yahya said on Saturday.
The ambassador made the statement to KUNA on the sidelines of a meeting between Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development's (KFAED) Director General Abdulwahab Al-Bader and Moroccan Minister of Economy and Finance Mohammad Bou Saeed. The meeting was to assess the projects funded by KFAED in Morocco.
Al-Yahya added that the Kuwaiti portion was given to Morocco by KFAED through financing several social and economic projects aiming to improve living conditions of many categories of Moroccan people.
He noted that Kuwait has been supporting development projects in Morocco since the 1960w of the last century.
He reiterated Kuwait's commitment to continuing this support in the framework of the fraternal relations and cooperation between the two countries, under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and King Mohammad VI. (pickup previous) mry.hm
