ANKARA, March 17 (KUNA) -- At least, 15 migrants drowned after their boat sank off the Aegean Sea, off the Greek Agathonisi Island's coast, official media reported Saturday.
Twenty migrants were aboard a wooden boat that sank eventually, Greek authorities said in a statement, according to Anadolu Agency.
Among the dead were five children and 10 adults, a spokesman for the Greek Coast Guard said, adding that two women and a man managed to swim to the shore of the island unharmed.
Meanwhile, a rescue operation in the area is underway, said the state-run Turkish news agency. (end)
