ANKARA, Feb 18 (KUNA) -- Turkish President Recep Teyyip Erdogan said Sunday no decision about any issue in region could be made without Turkey being involved.
Erdogan also said Turkey "cannot be patient against terrorist groups' rocket attacks on our territories and the fall of victims as a result." He was speaking at the ruling Justice and Development Party's General Conference in Ankara, affirming Turkey was determined to continue the crack down against terrorists.
"We have started burrying the Syrian Kurdish democratic union party, the Kurdistan Workers party and so-called Islamic State in the same bunkers they dug," he said.
The Turkish army launched, on January 20, Operation Olive Branch against strongholds of Kurdish separatists and IS in Syria's northwestern city of Afrin.
The groups retaliated by firing around 94 rockets from Afrin at southern Turkey which killed seven civilians and injured 113 others.
Erdogan called on the "terrorist groups to abondon their areas and go to those who support them.
"Our hearts and arms are open for those who show friendship but we will crush the enemies who threaten us," he said. (end) rs.bs
