KUWAIT, Feb 14 (KUNA) -- 1961 -- The Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issued the documentation law, where the Justice Ministry's documentation bureau was set up.
1996 -- Public Awqaf Foundation held a ceremony honoring the Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, after he was chosen as the philanthropist personality of 1995 by a British corporation based in Egypt.
2000 -- Health Minister Dr. Mohammad Al-Jarallah inaugurated Hamad Al-Saqer Specialized Center. Abdulaziz and Jassem Hamad Al-Saqer covered the costs of its construction.
2001 -- The Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, issued a decree stipulating the formation of the 20th cabinet in Kuwait's history. It was chaired by the Crown Prince Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and comprises 15 ministers, including four elected members of the National Assembly.
2004 -- Kuwait hosted the first coordination committee meeting for the Gulf Cooperation Council's Shura councils, national assemblies, and parliaments.
2004 -- Kuwait hosted a meeting of Iraq's neighbor states, with Iraq taking part for the first time.
2005 -- The Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, issued a law on searching for banned weapons, ammunition and explosives.
2012 -- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) renewed diesel and plane fuel contracts with British Petroleum (BP) and Shell oil.
2016 -- Ministry of Higher Education signed agreement with George Washington University to bolster academic cooperation. (end) nhq
