CAIRO, Feb 13 (KUNA) -- The Arab Parliament has strongly condemned the recent Israeli aggression against Syria and threats to Lebanon.
"The Arab Parliament has followed with deep dismay the dangerous trajectory of escalation," the pan-Arab legislature said in final statement after the conclusion of its third general session in Cairo Tuesday.
The Arab Parliament denounced the Israeli assaults on Arab neighboring countries and its threats to destroy Lebanon's vital state facilities and repeated breaches of its territorial waters.
The Arab Parliament strongly denounced the Israeli vicious attack and airstrikes on Syrian state and people which left a huge trail of destruction and human casualties.
It expressed full solidarity with the Syrian and Lebanese people against the Israeli offenses.
On the internal conflict in Syria, the Arab Parliament urged all regional countries to stop interfering in the Syrian affairs and called on the international community to help protect Syrian people and end the siege imposed on it.
It also reminded donor countries to fulfill commitments towards Syrian refugees and their hosting countries.
In the meantime, it lauded the Jordanian Kingdom's efforts to defend the Muslim and Christian sanctities in occupied Jerusalem.
It congratulated the Kingdom of Bahrain on the progress it made in maintaining its security and stability and its effective contributions to the broader Arab national security.
It also voiced support to Egypt in its current massive crackdown campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai Peninsula. (end) mfm.esm.ibi
