MANAMA, Feb 13 (KUNA) -- Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa said Tuesday the National Action Charter's principles cemented national unity, peace and tolerance, while rejecting division and sectarianism.
King Hamad, during a reception of senior state officials on the eve of the 17th anniversary of the National Charter, underlined importance of constructive cooperation between legislative and executive authorities towards diversification of income and economic growth, BNA news agency reported.
He said the National Charter paved way for effective decision-making as well as completed rights of women.
King Hamad commended the legislative authority for carrying out its constitutional role which reflected the civilized democracy of Bahrain. (pickup previous)
