MOSCOW, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday discussed the Syrian peace process.
They reiterated by phone full support to a political settlement in Syria in line with UN Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 2245 and Output of Syrian National Dialogue in Sochi, according to a Kremlin release.
They also stressed the importance of increasing Franco-Russian cooperation on Syria, options to rebuild the country, and the need to move forward with inclusive peace talks in Geneva, it added.
Both sides further exchanged views on the current situation in Ukraine, the Kremlin noted. (end)
