VIENNA, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- Moldova received on Wednesday an official invitation from the State of Kuwait to participate in the 13th meeting of the US-led International Coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) due in the Gulf country on February 13.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah addressed the official invitation to his Moldovan counterpart, Tudor Ulianovschi, said Talal Al-Hajri, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Romania and non-resident envoy to Moldova, in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Ambassador Al-Hajri, who handed the invitation to Moldovan Minister of State for Bilateral Cooperation Tatanya Moloshin, at a meeting at the Moldovan Foreign Ministry building, said he discussed with the Minister of State means of boosting cooperation between the two friendly countries in political, economic and investment spheres.
The talks also dealt with means of enhancing the 25-year Kuwaiti-Moldovan bilateral relationship.
Al-Hajri said he re-expressed the State of Kuwait desire to develop the bilateral ties, adding that his discussions with the Moldovan official dealt with prospected investment in the industrial sector, agriculture, food security.
He quoted the Minister of State Moloshin as expressing keenness on upgrading economic cooperation and trade exchanges with the State of Kuwait.
The ministerial meeting of the international coalition against the IS (Daesh) will be held on sidelines of the Kuwait International Conference for Iraq Reconstruction and Development (KICIRD), due on February 12-14. (end) amq.rk
