BAGHDAD, Jan 22 (KUNA) -- Iraqi House of Representatives on Monday unanimously voted for holding the upcoming legislative elections according to its constitutional date.
The Parliament asked the Federal Government to create secure environment for the elections, through the home-return of internally displaced persons and disarming militants.
The Parliament called for securing ballot boxes for internally displaced Iraqis.
Voting will be online in all election centers in Iraq.
The Federal Court issued yesterday a decision not to postpone the elections, and stressed the need to hold the process as scheduled on May 12. (end) aah.nhq
