UN's Secretary-General to attend Iraq's reconstruction conf. in Kuwait

BAGHDAD, Jan 21 (KUNA) -- UN's Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs Miroslav Jenca said that Secretary General Antonio Guterres would attend Kuwait's conference on the reconstruction of Iraq.
Jenca stated during a meeting with Prime Minister Haidar Abadi UN's full support to rebuild Iraq, and bring peace and stability back to the country.
An official statement quoted him as saying that Guterres was following the positive developments in Iraq very closely.
Abadi said that the government is working hard to solve any problem that could hamper the displaced's return to their homes.
Iraq reconstruction conference is scheduled to take place in Kuwait, 12-14 February, with a broad international participation. (end) ahh.mys
