Turkey keen on Iraq's stability, unity - FM Cavusoglu

BAGHDAD, Jan 21 (KUNA) -- Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu affirmed, during a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Abadi in Baghdad, Ankara's keenness on Iraq's stability and territorial unity.
Turkey supports the unity and stability of Iraq, Cavusoglu was quoted by a government statement as saying, and added that Turkish companies were interested in contributing to the reconstruction of the country.
The two men, it said, discussed development of economic and trade relations, as well as in oil, transport and counter-terrorism.
Relations between Turkey and Iraq improved after Ankara's backed Baghdad during Kurdistan's separation referendum crisis. (end) ahh.bs
