Kuwait Oil Min. in Muscat for OPEC, non-OPEC cmte meeting

MUSCAT, Jan 20 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Minister of Oil Bakheet Al-Rashidi arrived in Muscat Saturday to participate in a ministerial committee meeting of OPEC and non-OPEC oil producers, due tomorrow.
Al-Rashidi, also Minister of Electricity and Water, was received by Ahmad Al-Shanfari, Omani Minister of Oil and Gas' Public Relations Advisor, and Kuwait Ambassador in Muscat Fahad Al-Mutairi.
The ministerial committee includes Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Algeria and Venezuela, in addition to non-OPEC Oman and Russia.
The ministerial committee was formed in December 2016 with the objective of monitoring commitment of members to slash oil production by 1.8 million barrels per day (bpd). (end) me.bs
