MOSCOW, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- Russian, Turkish and Iranian officials are set to meet in the Russian resort city of Sochi on Friday, Russian President's Special Envoy to Middle East Michael Bogdanov said Thursday.
Russian President's Special Envoy on Syria Alexander Lavrentiev and the Turkish and Iranian deputy foreign ministers will be attending the meeting, Russia's Interfax news agency quoted Bodanov as saying.
The gathering is mainly intended to make preparations and arrangements for a Syrian national dialogue conference, he added.
The UN said on Wednesday that the Syrian dialogue conference would be held in Sochi as scheduled on January 29-30. (end)
