OIC to convene emergency meeting of FMs next Sun.

JEDDAH, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) announced on Thursday that it would hold an emergency meeting of foreign ministers on Sunday to discuss the repercussions of the launch by Houthi militias of a ballistic missile on the city of Riyadh at the request of Saudi Arabia.
 The organization said in a statement that a preparatory meeting at the level of delegates will precede the ministerial meeting to discuss the draft final communiquأ© of the ministerial meeting.
 The Secretary-General, Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen, would make a statement before the Ministerial Meeting reflecting the Organization's position on the repeated violations of Houthi militias on the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the statement said.
 The Yemeni ministerial liaison group will hold a meeting on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting to discuss political, security and humanitarian developments in Yemen, it added.
 On December 19, Royal Saudi Air Force (RAF) forces intercepted a ballistic missile fired from Yemeni territory towards residential areas in Riyadh and succeeded in destroying it south of Riyadh without causing any casualties.(end).
