KUWAIT, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- 1963 -- Kuwait radio covered live for the first time an international friendly football match between Kuwait and Jordan.
1964 -- Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Hamad was named the first Ambassador to Iraq. He served in the post until November 1971.
2003 -- Minister of Information and Acting Oil Minister Sheikh Ahmad Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah inaugurated the Heritage Village, the Planetarium, and Al-Muhalab dhow.
2009 -- The Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, Deputy Prime and Foreign Minister and Acting Minister of Oil Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Sabah attended the opening of the new Kuwait UN headquarters in Mishref area.
2010 -- Kuwaiti lawyers union was established. (end).
