Qadsiya beats Al-Sahel in the Kuwait Crown Prince Cup semifinal
KUWAIT, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- Qadsiya will meet Al-Arabi as Al-Kuwait faces Al-Naser in the Kuwait Crown Prince Cup semifinal after the four clubs emerged as table-toppers in their respective groups on Wednesday.
Qadsiya thrashed Al-Sahel, 5-1, to top Group A with 17 points at Al-Sadaqa Wal-Salam Stadium, with Al-Naser trailing with 15 points after a 2-0 triumph over Jahra at Al-Kuwait Stadium.
Elsewhere, Al-Kuwait put four past Yarmouk to maintain pole position in Group B with 18 points and a 12-goal margin over second-placed Al-Arabi, who trail with 15 points.
The results pit the two most successful clubs in the tournament, Qadsiya and Al-Arabi with eight and seven titles respectively, in a mouthwatering encounter on Sunday.
Meanwhile, champions Al-Kuwait will seek to defend their title when they come up against Al-Naser. (end)
