KUWAIT, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti shooters have continued making good scores during the Seventh Amir International Shooting Tournament clinching three gold medals, won by Hamad Al-Nemshan, Iman Al-Shammaa and Abdullah Al-Taraqi, in addition to a single silver medal.
Al-Nemshan won the 10-meter air pistol competition, beating the Omani Ismail Al-Arabi. The Tunisian Alaa Al-Othmani earned the bronze medal.
Al-Shamaa was top in the skeet category, beating the Kazakh shooter. The Bahraini Mariam Hassani came third. For his part, Al-Taraqi won the skeet men's contest, beating his fellow citizen Abdulaziz Al-Faihan. The Italian shooter won the bronze medal.
So far the Kuwaiti team has bagged up to six gold medals and two silver, ahead of the other contesting teams.
The championship ends on Thursday with double-trap competitions. (end) fsa.rk
