Kuwait Air Show promotes 2035 vision - Civil Aviation

KUWAIT, Jan 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Air Show will open this coming Wednesday and will further promote New Kuwait vision 2035 to transform the country into a trade and economic hub, the General Directorate of Civil Aviation said Sunday.
The January 17-20 Air Show is an added value to Kuwait's aviation sector, Director General Yusuf Al-Fozan told a news conference.
The Air Show, to be held under His Highness the Amir's patronage, will feature participation of 125 local, regional and international civil and military companies, in addition to the displaying of 70 planes, he said.
Fahad Al-Wuqayan, Deputy Director General for Civil Aviation, said the Air Show was an opportunity to improve efficiency of Kuwait International Airport as well as getting acquainted with state-of-art aviation industries and ground services.
He said the aircraft schedule would generally not be affected during the opening of the Air Show, but some flights would be rescheduled.
Fayez Al-Enezi, Kuwait Airways Public Relations Director, said the national carrier would be displaying one of its new Boeing-777 and take part in an air show with Kuwait Air Force.
Al-Enezi said Kuwait Airways would set up six counters to receive job applications for flight attendants.
Ahmad Behbehani, chairman of the organizing committee, said the Air Show would push Kuwait into the global aviation industry.
The Air Show will also reflect Kuwait's ability to organizing specialized international exhibition, he said.
The Air Show, he noted, would display planes for commercial use, business people, air ambulances and helicopters, in addition to engines and navigation equipment. (end) aam.bs
