PLO calls for UN-sponsored conf. on peace

RAMALLAH, Jan 13 (KUNA) -- Palestinian Liberation Organization's (PLO) Executive Committee said Saturday the international community should act and organize a UN-sponsored conference to pave way for establishment of Palestine State with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The committee, in a statement following its meeting in Ramallah chaired by Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas, rejected the US measures vis-a-vis the peace process.
It said creating facts on the ground with the US backing "will not create anything neither a commitment." It recalled that the international community refused US President Donald Trump's decision over Jerusalem.
The committee called for deep coordination with all countries around the world to punish the Israeli occupation for its crimes against the Palestinian people. (end) nq.bs
