TUNIS, Jan 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwait and Tunisia agreed Friday to form a bilateral committee to boost military cooperation, particularly training and border monitoring.
The committee formation was agreed during talks between Kuwait Ambassador in Tunis Ali Al-Dhefeeri with Tunisian Defense Minister Abdulkareem Al-Zubaidi, the defense ministry said in a statement.
Al-Zubaidi appreciated Kuwait's support to Tunisia in all fields including the military domain, it said.
He said Tunisia and Kuwait shared common security challenges. He called for making a good use of Kuwait experience in training and border monitoring.
Al-Dhefeeri said Kuwait was keen on promoting military cooperation with Tunisia.
He underlined importance of developing Tunisia's military and security capabilities to address growing security challenges in the region. (end)
