JEDDAH, Jan 7 (KUNA) -- Two airmen were Sunday rescued and brought to Saudi Arabia's territories after their plane crashed in Yemen due to a technical failure, the coalition supporting the legitimacy in Yemen announced.
Colonel Turki Al-Malki, coalition spokesman, said in a statement a Saudi warplane was returning from a mission in Yemen and suffered a technical failure causing its crash "inside the operations zone."
He confirmed that the airmen were unharmed.
The ground and air forces carried out a search and rescue mission, said Al-Malki, and succeeded in evacuating the airmen to the Saudi territories. (end)
