By Nasser Al-Otaibi KUWAIT, Dec 7 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Minister of State for Immigration and Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram appreciated the efforts made by the Kuwaiti police to arrest the assailants of Wahid Mahmoud, an Egyptian national, in less than a couple of days.
"The attack is a normal incident that could take place anywhere but the timely arrest of the attackers yesterday signals the special bonds between the two countries," she told KUNA on Thursday at the end of a brief visit.
She also thanked the Kuwaiti authorities for health and psychological aid offered to the Egyptian citizen and his family following "the individual attack which cannot affect the exemplary ties between both nations." The minister noted that she felt during her visit to Kuwait the sympathy of Kuwaitis on all level with the Egyptian man.
On her talks with Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh, the Egyptian minister said Al-Sabeeh was very cooperative and showed understanding for the issues of Egyptian community.
Makram added that she called on the Egyptian man at hospital to get reassured about his health and send a message of solidarity to all Egyptian expatriates that the state is beside them.
