Assistant Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information for Radio Affairs Sheikh Fahad Mubarak Al-Sabah
CAIRO, Nov 10 (KUNA) -- Assistant Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information for Radio Affairs Sheikh Fahad Mubarak Al-Sabah said his country dominated the award ceremony of the Sixth Cairo Artworks and Media Mondial.
Kuwait has won 45 gold, silver and bronze medals, thus grabbing the lead from 18 other countries participating in the event, he told KUNA at the closing ceremony on Friday night.
Sheikh Fahad dedicated the winning of the first position to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah as well as the Kuwaiti people.
The Mondial, which kicked off on Tuesday under the slogan "Terror will not break us," saw Kuwait participating with 52 radio and television works, he noted.
Sheikh Fahad praised the efforts made by the staffers of the Ministry of Information over the last six months to prepare for taking part in the event.
Led by Sheikh Fahad, Kuwait delegation to the event included Saad Al-Findi - from Kuwait Radio One, and Mishari Al-Baijan - Kuwait TV (KTV 1). (pickup previous)
