KUWAIT, Oct 1 (KUNA) -- The Public Institution For Social Security (PIFSS) plays an important role in the application of pension regulations and laws, updating them and complying with the latest international laws within the vision of Kuwait 2035.
The total number of those insured, pensioners and beneficiaries, who benefit from the social security system as of March 31, 2016 exceeded 558,000 Kuwaiti nationals - both civilian and military, who are granted all benefits to enjoy decent living conditions.
The modernization and development of the social security laws, which were introduced to Kuwait in 1955, are comprehensive and include insurance for old age, disability, sickness, death and supplementary insurance. (end) ay.ss
