RIYADH, Sept 23 (KUNA) -- The Royal Saudi Air Defence (RSADF) shot down a ballistic missile fired from the Yemeni territories into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saturday evening.
The incident took place at 10:00 pm., local time (7:00 pm. GTM), spokesman of the Saudi-led coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen Col. Staff Turki Al-Malki said
The acquisition of ballistic missiles by terrorist organizations in Yemen, including the Houthi militia, poses a grave threat to regional and international security, he noted.
The spokesman added that the continued targeting of Saudi Arabia with such weapons indicates continued arms smuggling to Yemeni militias through the rebel-held Al-Hudaidah seaport. (end)
