BAGHDAD, Sept 16 (KUNA) -- At least nine people were killed and seven others wounded when a suicide bomber blew up himself in Miqdadiyah city, Diyala Governorate, some 80 km northeast Baghdad, on Saturday.
A police officer and a civilian are among the dead and three policemen are among those injured, Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Brig. Saad Maan said in a statement.
The attack took place as the security forces were tracking down two terrorists in Al-Jihad district in the city, according to the statement. (end)
