JEDDAH, Aug 10 (KUNA) -- Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khaled Al-Faleh met on Thursday with visiting Iraqi Oil Minister Jabar Al-Luaibi, where they discussed issues with mutual interests.
A statement by Al-Faleh after the meeting said that they also discussed cooperation in the fields of energy, industry, mineral resources and trading, in addition to exchanged investments between both nations.
Iraq is an effective member in OPEC and had signed the agreement to reduce oil production along with other nations from outside of the organization, which will have a big impact on the international market, the statement said.
The Iraqi Minister met earlier with Saudi Vice King Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, where they discussed oil policy coordination and the confirmation of the two countries' full commitment to the oil production agreement, where they announced their full commitment to it. (end)
