Kuwait, China to boost bilateral ties

KUWAIT, July 11 (KUNA) -- Minister of Public Works Abdurrahman Al-Mutawa and a visiting Chinese delegation on Tuesday discussed means of promoting bilateral ties in all fields.
An official Chinese delegation is now on a four-day visit to Kuwait for boosting relations and promoting strategic cooperation for the good of both sides, the Ministry of Public Works said in a statement.
It includes experts and specialists from several government departments in China, among them the China Development Bank, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Urban Planning Society of China, the China Association of Development Zones, the China Transport Company and the China International Energy Group Co., Ltd. (CIEG), besides other state bodies in infrastructure and giant projects.
Kuwait's Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs and member of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah visited China last May for fostering bilateral ties, focusing on the goals of "Kuwait 2035" vision.
During the visit, Sheikh Nasser met with China's Vice President Li Yuanchao. (end) am.msa
